On 30 November 2024, Prismatic is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of BAE Systems. As part of FalconWorks™, the centre for advanced and agile research and development within BAE Systems’ Air sector, this milestone underscores our shared legacy of innovation and impact.
BAE Systems was formed in 1999 through the merger of Marconi Electronic Systems and British Aerospace, creating a global leader in advanced defence, aerospace, and security technologies. However, this anniversary is not merely a date on the calendar—it is a reflection of more than 450 years of technological innovation that has reshaped industries and defined the course of history.
At Prismatic, we are honoured to contribute to this extraordinary legacy. From the development of superior gunpowder in the 1800s to the pioneering instruments for the Hubble Space Telescope in the 1990s, BAE Systems has consistently delivered breakthroughs that have transformed both military and civilian life. Key milestones include HMS Holland 1—the Royal Navy’s first submarine—which heralded a new era of naval innovation, and the first successful aircraft carrier landing in 1945, which revolutionized maritime aviation.
Innovation is the cornerstone of everything we do at Prismatic. Our team continues to push the boundaries of what is possible, delivering cutting-edge technologies that provide information advantage of our customers.
As we mark this 25th anniversary, we take pride not only in celebrating the remarkable achievements of the past but also in looking ahead to an exciting future. Together with our colleagues and partners across BAE Systems, we remain steadfast in our commitment to advancing technology and delivering solutions that ensure a safer, more connected, and more innovative world.
Here’s to the next 25 years of progress, ingenuity, and excellence!
